This morning I woke to a text asking: I have a friend who may have endometriosis, and is experiencing chronic pain and depression. If you could tell her one thing, what would it be?
My one suggestion would be, if you are going to use western medicine, view the drugs and treatments as a short term fix, and use alternative medicine and holistic healing as a long term solution to the disease. The day I stopped utilizing pain pills, muscle relaxers, hormones and mood stabilizers, was the day I began to reconnect with my body, love myself, and regain my health.
MUCH LOVE!
I’m not a chronic pain or endometriosis sufferer, but I can tell you that as a woman you’ve got to line doctors out a lot of the time. Western medicine is truly a miraculous and necessary thing, but it’s not the only thing and nothing replaces what you know about your own body. So, get to know it, and then insist that you do know it, and you know when something’s not working. Go, girls!
Thank you Kathleen! xoxo
